Customer Review: Great first dollhouse
I bought this for my two-year-old granddaughter for Christmas, along with a couple of extra rooms. She loves it. It is very sturdy and the pieces are large enough not be lost in the toybox. It is easy for little fingers to move the people and furniture around. An excellent beginners dollhouse for any little girl.
Customer Review: Better than Little People dollhouse!
I had both the Little People dollhouse and this dollhouse. My 3 year old daughter plays with this dollhouse all the time. The Little People dollhouse went so unused that I just decided to store it away with all the other unused toys that I will end up selling one day.
I think the reason this is her favorite dollhouse is because the house looks more real, it is a lot bigger, has more rooms in it, and has better furniture. The Little People dollhouse did not have this much furniture and it really wasn't as good as this.
Another great thing about this dollhouse is that it was so easy to put together, I never had a problem with it. Also, I had some other dollhouse furniture that fits right inside it with the other furniture. The rooms are so much bigger you can always add new furniture, buy some different kinds and just add to it. It holds so much more! So far we have 3 different kinds of furniture products we have added to this dollhouse (and it didn't all come from the maker of this dollhouse). We have gotten furniture from crafting stores to add to it, and other places. So you can see just from that, it does have a lot of room to work with!
This is my 3 year olds favorite toy. She drags it out of her room everyday and brings it into the living room. She is really rough with toys, so for her we always need something that will hold out a long time! She has dragged this around with her, dropped it, and it still looks like brand new! It has never broken, and looks the same as it always did.
As you can see from the picture, this dollhouse has beautiful colors. It matches my daughters room so well! It is one of the toys I leave out for everyone to see, because not only is it great as a toy, it's a great child's decoration. It really compliments her room, and matches the purple theme we have in there for her.
I gave this toy a HIGH EDUCATIONAL VALUE. Most people did not give this toy a high score on that. The reason I did is because my daughter interacts with the dolls. She makes the Dad talk to the Mom, and makes the parents care for the baby. She actually gets them to do what we do as a real family for that day. Like if we go outside to play, she gets the doll parents to take the baby outside to play too.
Right now we are trying to potty train our daughter. She even gets the doll parents to help the baby go to the potty! So she is really interacting with this toy and playing out our daily lives with them. I think this helps her to remember what we have done for that day, and is teaching her about life in general. Helping her to understand things more in her head by acting it out over and over again.
This toy makes her SO HAPPY, and I would recommend it to anyone!
